*LIFE
Aiden Lancaster was born to Liesel and Hans Lancaster in Berlin, Deutschland during a time that the the eastern portion of Germany was still owned by Russia. Aiden's father, a cold and busy man, was stern and raised his son with an iron fist. Aiden grew up under the influence that the Soviet Government was something all knowing and to be respected. One of three children, Aiden was his father's favorite and often pulled aside for various "life lessons." Once he reached the age of sixteen he learned that most of his father's words were untrue, lies. It was difficult for the young man to come to terms with this, and he spent many years adjusting to the idea that Russia was hurting his part of Germany, rather than helping it.

♥TRUE LOVE
When Aiden was seventeen he ran away from home in an attempt to escape both Soviet Germany and his father's tyrannical hand. His escape attempt was ill fated however, and he was quickly caught and imprisoned for a brief amount of time. Upon release, the young man was assigned a job at the nearby camera factory. This was crushing for him, as his main aspiration was to move to the west and become an author. Despite his bitterness and misery, the brightest thing to happen in the entirety of Aiden's life occurred while working in the Holga factory. He met the love of his life, a young man named David. David was a few years younger than himself, (The year was 1985, and Aiden had just turned 22). The smaller man was also living under government control, being forced into celebrity. He was part of a government sanctioned band, and although he enjoyed singing, he wasn't allowed to compose his own music. Aiden had been assigned to build a special edition Holga, specifically for the band, and deliver it to the front man when he was done.

It was love at first sight. Quickly the two struck up a strange and strained friendship, a mutual attraction between them that they didn't dare address. As they grew closer, Aiden learned that David was in a secret relationship with one of his band members, a fellow male. Homosexuality was illegal in the eighties in Soviet Germany, but Aiden could see it was more than the secrecy that was making David discontent. The tension only seemed to grow between them the closer they got. One night Aiden decided to stop by and visit David after work on a whim, and as he approached the door, he heard fighting. Bursting in, he found David being abused by his boyfriend, a brutal man named Klaus. Engaging the bigger man in a fight, Aiden quickly took Klaus out and brought David back to his home, despite the danger. Their friendship quickly changed into love and the pair fought side by side to keep their secret and hold on to each other.

In 1987, two years before the Berlin Wall finally fell, Aiden's dream of escaping Soviet Russia came true. One of his fellow forced employees at the Holga factory had found someone willing to smuggle him out via the trunk of his car. Aiden, who made very little at the factory, took his entire life savings to pay for himself and David to escape. The pair barely made it out without being caught, and as soon as they did, they made their way to America.

*Personality
Aiden is a strong leader with often stubborn tendencies. He can be controlling, something he learned from his father. David has become Aiden's life -- his everything. After so many years of protecting one another, Aiden has learned to put David's life and happiness above all else. He is generous and giving at times -- though David sees it more than others -- though more often than not he is reserved and strong willed. David brings out the best in him.
